Inspiration

The Lotus flower was chosen as the logo for TAN TUDDY as an ode to Julius' hometown Baltimore City. A Lotus' journey to full maturity is similar in essence to inspired individuals from Baltimore. The flower emerges from muddy murky waters to bloom and become a picturesque token of purity and strength. Brooding environments although not ideal, can still produce undeniable beauty.

TAN TUDDY is more than a clothing brand. 

​It is a way of living that is meant to reinforce core values of family, respect, and hustle. TAN TUDDY is a term used in Jamaica among other Caribbean cultures and it means to "Remain Steady" or to "Balance oneself". The top quality garments and accessories produced are meant to reinforce those aforementioned virtues. A status symbol that reassures onlookers similar to the famed high fashion designer brands of today.

About the Creator

Established in 2022 by Julius Charles a Baltimore native and son of two Caribbean parents. Inspired by legendary streetwear brands like Stussy, Billionaire Boys Club, and A Bathing Ape, the aim was to produce top quality garments for his community that could be worn as a badge of honor. The inception of the brand was meant to be an inspiration to peers and the next generation of creators. The brand is meant to speak for itself.
